Want to join Google+ but don't have invite...hmm... hey...how about this...do u or your friend have a cell which runs on Android. download the Google+ app & sign in with ur gmail account from ur mobile, you are all set :) I discovered it just for fun & its easier so now u need not request anyone to invite u onto Google+ njoy.
