Quarantined by society & by their families for crimes they haven't committed these women find themselves seized off their freedom & dignity.
Condemned to indefinite sentences of manual labor by the church run Magdalene laundries these women were forced into unbearable authoritative servitude in order to cleanse themselves of the crimes they had been accused.
Peter Mullan,the writer and acclaimed director articulates remarkably the truth behind one of the greatest tragedies of our times.
I would give 2 thumbs up, for this film portrays celebration of true bravery which rings in liberty & change.
